Genesys Works is a U.S. nonprofit that provides pathways to career success for high school students in underserved communities through skills training, meaningful work experiences, and impactful relationships. Now in its third decade of operations, the organization pairs professional and technical skills training with paid corporate internships during the senior year of high school, followed by college and career coaching and ongoing alumni support.

The yearlong Genesys Works program combines four core components:

  • Eight weeks of business and technology skills training, covering both professional and technical skills
  • Paid internships with corporate partners, working about 20 hours per week during the school year
  • More than 60 hours of college and career coaching
  • Alumni support networks that continue after high school graduation

Genesys Works operates in nine locations across the United States: the Bay Area, Chicago, Houston, Jacksonville, Nashville, the National Capital Region, New York City, Tulsa, and the Twin Cities. The organization works with 205 corporate partners and 186 partner schools.
